Reasonable #read. Fun to read the history of #RepairCafe, plus short portraits of volunteers and repair cafes in various places.
The preoccupation with the Repair Café brand name is somewhat tiresome. As is the preoccupation with bringing in money and asking for money for materials. Possibly I am an incorrigible romantic who does not see that this is necessary to make a project like this successful.
Recently, while in the process of reading this book, I visited a Repair Café at our library. Interesting and fun to experience, although communicatively not always easy. Almost only electrical appliances offered for repair, although I was told it doffers per week.
